PlayStation 5 fans can be absolutely thrilled with the recent news disclosed during Sony’s Game Showcase exhibition event. It was recently released the look for the upcoming next generation console: PlayStation 5, as with its accompanying DualSense controller. The design is stunning! It’s not only elegant and visually striking but it has a futuristic appeal, which shows the direction Sony will take with its new console.
Sony´s CEO Jim Ryan stated that that a striking visual shift from previous PlayStation products, was done on purpose to capture just how strong the generational leap will be moving forward with the next gen. consoles. One of the most impressive features PS5 will have is that it will be released in two different versions, one that features an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive and one that scraps a disc drive entirely to instead offer its players the option to go all digital. This changes drastically, the current game rules with retail sellers within the industry, where each day that goes by hard copy sell is more irrelevant in favor of a digital download.
Moreover PS5 will be released with a few gadgets and accessories to play around, like: Pulse 3D Wireless Headset, HD Camera with dual 1080p lenses, dedicated mediate remote and charging station for the PS5 DualSense controllers.
Likewise, during the exhibition, they showed a few sneak peeks of some games that will be released together with the PS5, like: Horizon: Forbidden West, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Hitman 3.
Something that was notoriously absent from the presentation was the price that this new next gen. console will have. For that, we will have to wait a few more months, until its expected release during the Holiday Season 2020.
