These groups of companies that were awarded the Center are made up of the Bizarro company that is part of the BeLive business association. This company is known because it produces events such as the Viña del Mar Festival as well as is part of the Movistar Arena concession in the cities of Santiago, Bogota and Lima, the French Technological Center INRIA, the Corporation for the Development of Santiago, the Santacruz IP study, the Universidad de la Frontera, and the investment fund of the audiovisual industry and entertainment, Screen Capital.

It can be seen that in our country there is great potential in the creative industries, which has increased development in recent years. With this initiative it is expected to promote these areas of creativity and technologies, thus enhancing the existing talent in Chile to spread throughout the world.

This project would generate a great advance in the new digital technologies in the creative sectors, generating great technological challenges to computer science, in particular, in areas such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality and augmented reality.

This Center will address in the first instance the technologies associated with the fourth industrial revolution and the effects on the infrastructure of creative industries in terms of  formats, transmission capacity and new possibilities for interaction and value creation, this can be seen reflected on topics such as virtual reality, augmented reality and artificial intelligence.

At the national level Corfo, in its role of productive promotion, has participated in the creation of nine Technological Centers for Innovation in different industries, the last to be incorporated is the Creative Industries Center, which has three centers nationwide: the Center Innovation Technology Park of the Universidad de La Frontera in Temuco, in the Movistar Arena, and the central one that will be located in the Mercado Urbano Tobalaba building. This center has a 47% investment from Corfo and the rest will be supported by individuals.

This center provides a 10-year financing projection divided into 3 stages. During 2019, the Center for the Technological Revolution in Creative Industries will focus on the constitution of its legal personality, the governance structure of partners, definition of its intellectual property policies, among others.

This Center is expected to be operational to serve the public by the end of this year, or early 2021.
